Roses from my garden, painted from life. This painting features a very ancient gallica rose called ‘La Belle Sultane’. As I was painting the roses, a bee was attracted to the painted stamens and so inspired me to include two bees.

Original oil painting on fine Belgian linen, in a bespoke gesso and gilt frame, handcrafted by frame maker Christopher Lines in the Blue Mountains.
